This impressive-looking building sits at the end of a cul-de-sac in Uccle, Belgium. It is the home and office of architect Benoit Nis whose company is called FORMa. The dark façade is in strong contrast to the interior of the home, where neutral shades dominate. So why did he choose Rubio Monocoat? Read on to find out.

Everyone loves Rubio Monocoat
Benoit Nis had never heard of Rubio Monocoat before starting his project. He was introduced to the brand by Stef de Medts, a carpenter who has been using Rubio Monocoat for years. He didn’t have to think twice: Rubio Monocoat was the perfect accompaniment to the products being used in this project. So Benoit Nis contacted our distributor Timfin and that’s where it all began. We are passionate about providing our customers with tailored advice and so one of our representatives, Bertrand Matkoski, happily took on Benoit’s project.

For the finish on the external walls, they selected Rubio Monocoat’s pre-coloured Sunprimer HWP in Black, combined with the protection of Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector, also in Black. This explains the intense darkness of the outside façade.

High quality and innovative
It only takes one glance inside the house to notice the neutral soft colours. The walls and ceiling have been finished using Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, in White 5%.
