House renovation: how to restore authentic floors to look new again
Are you renovating your home, but do you have no idea how to bring your wooden floors back to life? Rubio Monocoat has an
extensive range of products and colours to help you out.
This beautiful house located in Ronse (Belgium) from the 1920s originally consisted of two separate houses. The owners decided to keep the authentic elements to create one big house. In addition to the authentic elements, they also wanted to
preserve the natural look of the wooden floors. With this vision, Che Polfliet of
C-Parket started freshening up and renovating the wooden floors.
An old floor with a new look
Many of the wooden floors in this house were still in good condition, but
C-Parket was able to restore the authentic floors to top condition. The original floors were renovated and then treated with
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, colour Pure. If you would like to maintain the natural look & feel of your wood, then our colour Pure is always a good idea.
They also installed new wooden floors in the house. In order to be able to
recreate the authentic look, Che chose to work with
Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging, in a custom-made colour. Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging is a non-reactive pre-treatment that gives your new floor an old look. As in the other rooms, Che finished the floor with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, colour Pure.
Restoring the authentic floors was Che’s main focus because a beautifully restored floor immediately turns your room into an eye-catcher. C-Parket often uses Rubio Monocoat products for projects because they are really fond of our
product versatility. Also,
the 1-layer system and the easy application method are great advantages!
